As a practicing attorney for over ten years in a general practice, Colleen M. Cunningham, Esq. has had the experience of handling a wide variety of cases; and can therefore impart that knowledge and experience to your case.
She has successfully argued cases before the New Jersey Appellate Division and has conducted trials in New Jersey Courts. Furthermore, she is a Certified New Jersey Superior Court Arbitrator and has served as a Volunteer Mediator for the Superior Court.
Her training and education have not only led her to be a successful attorney but also a respected educator. While serving as an Assistant Prosecutor, she was an instructor at the Morris County Police and Fire Academy, which gave her the privilege of sharing her knowledge of the law with law enforcement personnel.
In 2003, Colleen joined the Adjunct Faculty at Sussex County Community College where she has been an instructor in the Paralegal Studies Program and Business Curriculum.
As a member of the Sussex County Bar Association, she was co-coordinator of the Sussex County Vincent J. Apruzzese High School Mock Trial Competition, a member of the Sussex County Court House Library Committee and a co-moderator for Municipal Court MCLE seminars provided by the Sussex County Bar Association.
Combining her passion for the law with the one she has for teaching, she also became involved with the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) in providing continuing legal education for lawyers throughout the State of New Jersey. In conjunction with NJICLE, she co-authored and co-lectured a webinar on juvenile dispositions, as well as another on expungements.
Currently, Colleen is serving in an elected post as a Director of the Solo and Small Firm Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is a Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Sussex County Bar Association and a Member of the District XA Ethics Committee.
